Atlético on the attack: Fan groups united against UEFA
Atlético de Madrid fans are not giving up in their fight to defend the club. Following the controversial disallowed goal by Julián Álvarez in the penalty shootout against Real Madrid in the Champions League, the International Union of Atlético de Madrid Fan Clubs, along with other groups such as Los 50, el Senado, and Señales de Humo, have decided to take strong action.
They believe that the video presented by UEFA to justify the referee’s decision was manipulated, a fact that has generated outrage among the Colchoneros fans. After an expert report confirmed the manipulation of the video, the Union of Fan Clubs requested explanations from UEFA, but received no response.
Faced with this situation, they have announced that they will take legal action to defend the interests of the club and its fans. According to sources, the first actions to be taken to strengthen the complaint to be filed with UEFA will be announced this Monday.
In addition, an initiative will be launched for fans to contribute financially to this legal battle, demonstrating once again the unconditional support of the Rojiblancos fans for the team. Atlético de Madrid fans remain united and firm in their conviction that an injustice was committed, and are willing to go to the last consequences to defend the red and white colors.
