Young Talent Strengthens Colchoneros' Attack
Atlético de Madrid continues to bet on the future and has set its sights on Mariano Villafáfila, a young and promising striker from Real Valladolid’s youth team. The 19-year-old player has decided not to renew with the Pucelano club and will join the Colchonero ranks at the end of the season.
Villafáfila, a right-footed attacker with a remarkable scoring ability, has proven his worth with over 40 goals in the Youth category, including 14 this season, between the League and the Copa del Rey.
His talent has not gone unnoticed, as he has even played minutes with the Blanquivioleta subsidiary, Promesas. Atlético de Madrid, after closely following him in several matches, has decided to bet on his incorporation, beating other clubs interested in the player.
The Rojiblanca sports management sees great potential in Villafáfila to strengthen the attack and hopes he can continue developing his skills at the club.
It remains to be defined whether he will integrate into the dynamics of Atlético B or CUC Villalba, the Rojiblanca subsidiary in the Third RFEF, which is currently fighting for promotion to the Second RFEF. The arrival of Villafáfila represents a commitment to young talent and the future of Atlético de Madrid.
