Nano Rivas Bids Farewell to Atlético C
Nano Rivas will not continue as coach of Atlético C next season. The coach from La Mancha has communicated his decision to the club, ending his tenure at the helm of the second rojiblanco filial, which until now operated under the denomination and colors of CUC Villalba.
After a season in which the team failed to qualify for the playoffs, the club now faces the task of finding a new leader for its bench. Rivas, a former Atlético player in its youth categories, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to return to the club that trained him.
He acknowledged that the season was challenging, but expressed pride in the work done. He also thanked his coaching staff for their dedication and commitment, highlighting the learning acquired alongside them.
Atlético had reached an agreement to incorporate Villalba into its structure as the second filial, with the aim that from this summer it would be called Atlético C and adopt the rojiblanca kit.
During the season, several players from the team had the opportunity to participate in training sessions with the first team, under the orders of Simeone. Initially, the team played its matches in Villalba, but later moved to Alcalá de Henares. CUC Villalba, competing in Group 7 of the Third Division, was on the verge of promotion to the Second RFEF, just two points away.
