Giuliano Simeone: Red and White Shielding in Progress
Atlético de Madrid continues to bet on young talent and is preparing to secure the future of its stars. Following the renewal of Pablo Barrios until 2030, the Colchonero club plans to shield Giuliano Simeone, another key player in Cholo’s scheme.
The intention is to extend his contract also until 2030, rewarding his excellent performance and commitment. Giuliano, currently under contract until 2028, has proven to be a versatile and valuable player for the team.
Although he started the season as a substitute, he took advantage of his opportunities and earned an important place in the starting eleven. His versatility has allowed him to perform in different positions, adapting to the needs of the team and showing great energy in each match.
So far, he has played 46 games, scoring five goals (two in League, two in Cup and one in Champions) and giving eight assists. Negotiations for Giuliano’s renewal will begin at the end of the season.
It is expected that, as with Barrios, his salary will be increased and his release clause, currently at 50 million euros, will be doubled. This measure seeks to ensure the player’s continuity and avoid possible unexpected departures. Atlético is confident that Giuliano, along with other talents such as Julián Alvarez and Pablo Barrios, will be fundamental pillars for the future of the team.
