“The Anthems of Atlético de Madrid

Atlético de Madrid has had several anthems throughout its history, each representing important moments in the life of the club. The first anthem, ‘Adelante, Campeones’, was written in 1929 by Salvador Mauri and composed by Luis Scala Almozara.

It was first performed in 1931 at the Vallecas field before a match against Real Murcia. The second anthem, ‘Atlético-Aviación’, was composed by Mariano Calvo del Río and José María Legaza Puchol in 1941. It was first performed after Atlético-Aviación won its first league championship.

“Atlético de Madrid relives emotions of the Stadium Metropolitano”

On June 13, the rojiblanca association Los 50 will present the event ‘Experiences of the Metropolitano’ at the Eduardo Úrculo Cultural Center in Madrid. The event will bring together historical players and fans to remember the most memorable anecdotes and experiences of the emblematic Stadium Metropolitano.

Inaugurated in 1923, the Metropolitano was the first grass field of Atlético de Madrid and housed for more than four decades the dreams, joys and emotions of thousands of red and white fans.

“Second Edition of Atleti in Women

The Atlético de Madrid Women’s Peña Las Colchoneras and the Los 50 Association organize the second edition of Atleti in Women, an event that celebrates the role of women in sport.

The event, which will take place on March 11, will feature specialized women sports journalists, historical players, Olympic women, and other professionals. Two awards will be given: the Rubén Caravaca and the Almudena Grandes Award for Sports Trajectory in Atlético de Madrid. The event is an initiative to promote sports values in youth football and has the collaboration of Club Atlético de Madrid, ZIVA South Europe SL, A.D. Oña Sanchinarro and Deportes Polo’s. The entrance is free until full capacity.

Robi came to UD Salamanca and was part of a legendary team that ascended from 3rd to 1st division in 1972-76, with players like Aguinaga, Juanjo, D’Alessandro, Enrique, Rezza, Ameijenda, and Rial.

During the event, the history of Atlético Madrid Femenino will be presented and the current situation of women’s football will be discussed, with the participation of prominent figures from the world of sports.

“Atlético de Madrid honors Athletic Bilbao on its 125th anniversary”

Club Atlético de Madrid has decided to pay tribute to Athletic Bilbao on the occasion of its 125th anniversary. In a gesture of generosity, the home team will allow visitors to wear their signature red and white jersey, in honor of the shared history of both clubs.

This initiative is in line with the work of the ‘Los 50’ association, which is dedicated to disseminating the history of Atlético de Madrid. Biscayan students in Madrid founded the team more than a century ago, seeking to transmit the identity and values of their club of origin. On Sunday, Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Bilbao will take to the pitch at the Metropolitano to celebrate this important anniversary together.
